Biography: John Maclachlan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences, McMaster University, and a Research Fellow in the McMaster Institute for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Hamilton, ON. Email: [email protected]. His research interests include the exploration of glacial sediments and landforms and the assessment of the effectiveness of experiential learning for undergraduate students. John often leads field trips for students to locations such as Iceland and Cave City, Kentucky.

Rebecca E. Lee
Biography: Rebecca E. Lee is a master's student in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences, McMaster University, Hamilton, ON. Email: [email protected]. Her research focuses in glacial geomorphology and sedimentology; her current research project uses remote sensing and GIS to study the geomorphology of Icelandic glacial forefields. Rebecca also has an interest in the scholarship of teaching and learning, and works as a teaching assistant and as a research assistant in the McMaster Institute for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
